Balashi Brewery is proud of its sustainable efforts, including making its spent grain, a byproduct of the brewing process, available to local farmers as nutritious and affordable feed for animals. Additionally, all the facility’s unused water is treated at the on-premises water treatment plant and sent to sister company APEX for manufacturing of their products. But perhaps the most impressive sustainability effort is the signature bottle return initiative—the only one on the island—that incentivizes recycling with Afl 4.80 in cash per returned case of empties of Balashi, Chill, and Magic Mango.

The ongoing success of this is only possible with the help of our local community. To encourage consumers to continue to collect their empties and return for cash, here are five top reasons to keep it up!
